For over 100 years, BBE has delivered construction management and general contracting expertise with an award-winning team led by four generations of family.
BBE's employee-owned values are the foundation to everything we do and we continue to carry with us the integrity, reliability, service and professionalism that have become the hallmarks of our business. We value our strength in the communities we serve as we look forward to many more years of building for regional, national and international corporate, academic, manufacturing and community-based clients.
BBE recognizes the impact and value of supporting the communities in which we work and the industry at large. As such, we were instrumental in forming the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Connecticut in 1947 and The Construction Institute at the University of Hartford in 1975.
Our people continue to support the mission of these organizations with knowledge, dedication and commitment to excellence. Our commitment to service is demonstrated by the fact that BBE leadership have held the position of AGC President four times– the only company to have this honor.

Fundamental to our heritage is the hallmark of encouraging employees to grow and improve in safety and skill and to take advantage of the training/mentoring opportunities rich within our industries’ connections. With an unrivaled retention rate of 95%, our team boasts numerous associates with over 20 years of service.
In 2017, Thomas M. Panczner was named President and Chief Executive Officer with James H. Eacott, III as Chairman of the Board, carrying on the family’s heritage and distinction as a fourth-generation led company.

The majority of BBE employees have been employed with the company for 15+ years, which is a length of tenure well above the industry average.
